We're excited to announce that we have a start date for our season. The first day of practice will be January 4, with the first game played on the weekend of February 6th/7th. The season will run through the end of April. See the letter below from our AYF NORCAL Board.
After much consideration, we are saddened to announce that the Redwood PAL Golden Bears will be canceling Cheer for this season. Given the uncertainty due to COVID-19 and the probable need to maintain social distancing for the foreseeable future, we are placing the safety of our kids, coaches and parents first. It is our intention to come back next year as a cheer organization, stronger and more competitive than ever.
If you have paid for the 2020 season, refunds will be processed right away. If you signed up for a payment plan, future payments will be cancelled and all fees paid to date will be returned. Expect 5-7 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
This decision does not impact the football season. Updates on the status of football will be provided as soon as possible. Thank you.
Sunday conditioning and skills clinics are canceled until further notice. Please stay safe and healthy.
Welcome to the 2020 season of Golden Bears football and cheer. This is a big year for Redwood PAL, as we’re making several big changes. First off, we are leaving our local NBYFC league to join the American Youth Football (AYF) league. The AYF is a national organization, which partners with the NFL, to deliver a high-quality experience for its participants. The competition is greater, and it provides us an opportunity to better prepare our young athletes for high school and beyond. Our goal is to be the premier youth football and cheer organization in Sonoma County and create an AAU/travel-ball like experience.
We are extremely excited to begin this new decade and era of Golden Bears football and cheer. Registration is open now and we hope you will join us on this new journey. If you have questions, please refer to our 2020 FAQ or send an email to email@example.com.
